Bilateral Testicular Metastasis from Wilms' Tumor
Publication History
Publication Date:
24 June 2010 (online)

Introduction
The treatment of Wilms’ tumor has been one of the remarkable success stories in childhood cancer [1] [2]. Known to be the most common form of renal neoplasm [2] [3], every effort has been made to set up an appropriate management protocol. The surgeon has two basic responsibilities: to accomplish complete resection of all viable tumor tissue, and to provide accurate staging information, so that appropriate adjuvant therapy can be prescribed [2]. However, everything becomes blurry when it comes to so-called “unusual” metastasis of Wilms’ tumor, “unusual” referring to metastasis to the testes or epididymis [3] [4].
To our knowledge, we describe the first case of bilateral testicular metastasis from Wilms’ tumor.
